Kathmandu, July 26: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decrease the policy rates to 5 per cent from previous 5.5 per cent.  .

The Monetary policy 2024/25 unveiled today has revealed that bank rate which is upper limit of interest rate corridor(IRC)  has been decreased to 6.5 per cent from previous 7 per cent and deposit collection which is lower limit of IRC will remained unchanged at 3 per cent. 

The monetary policy also stated that the term and condition will get ease for standing liquidity facility. 

Meanwhile cash reserve ratio and statutory liquidity ratio has been kept unchanged.
