Kathmandu, Jan 24: Nepal defeated Malaysia by 7 wickets to register its first victory in the ongoing Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 4th Place Playoff – Match 2 at Johor Cricket Academy Oval, Johor, Malaysia on Friday.
Nepal achieved the target of 46 runs in the 11 over with a loss of three wickets.
To register Nepal’s maiden victory in the ongoing World Cup Nepali batsman Puja Mahato hit 23 runs, Jyotsnika Marasini 7, Seemana KC 4, Sabitri Dhami 3 and Sana Praveen scored one run.
Earlier, Malaysia posted a 46-run target for Nepal in the first inning.
