Saurya Airlines plane crash: 18 people confirmed dead

Kathmandu, July 24: Eighteen people onboard have died in the 9 N AME flight of Saurya Airlines crashed while departing from Kathmandu to Pokhara this morning. 

While taking off, it fell into a ditch in the east of the ‘runway’ of the Tribhuvan International Airport and crashed badly. 

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dambar Bahadur BK, the bodies of 18 people on board got dispersed after the accident and are in the process of collecting them. 

Preparations are underway to take all the bodies to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).  

He said one of the crew members had been rescued alive. 

The plane, which was going to Pokhara with employees and technicians to repair the aircraft of Saurya Airlines, crashed. Domestic flights are affected at the airport because of the incident. (Translated from RSS)
