Some countries are trying to create a rift in Nepal-China relations: CPC leader Haiyan

Kathmandu: Sun Haiyan, Deputy Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), has stated that some countries have not been happy with the strong ties between Nepal and China.

While interacting with political leaders in Kathmandu, Haiyan, expressing the view that the political relations between the two countries are good, said that some countries are trying to create a rift in their political relationship.

“We want to build good relations between political parties,” She said. “Because some countries are trying to create a rift in our relationship.”

She emphasized that at present, groups are working to create regional disputes, increase conflicts, and spread false rumors, and she stressed the importance of strengthening friendship between China and Nepal.

She mentioned that mutual understanding and agreements of various kinds have brought the relations between the two countries to new heights. She stated that in the current context, it is necessary to further strengthen the friendship between China and Nepal.

She mentioned that Chinese tourists are visiting Nepal, and additional infrastructural development is necessary for further progress. She expressed that there is a window of opportunity for policy improvements in Nepal. Sh suggested that with policy improvements, more and more investments can be attracted.

She pointed out that there are many problems in completing projects on time in Nepal and stressed the need for mutual understanding to overcome such delays. She emphasized that Nepal and China should organize cultural exchange programs and suggested providing more Chinese scholarships to Nepali students for further exploration.
