What are the plans for Foreign Minister Saud’s one-week-long visit to the United States?

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Narayan Prasad Saud is departing for the United States of America for an official visit on October 29.

On Sunday evening in Kathmandu, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is scheduled to welcome Foreign Minister Saud at the airport. On the same evening, he will depart for his visit to USA.

During the visit, he is set to hold bilateral talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on October 30 in Washington D.C., as informed by the Foreing Ministry.

During the visit, he will also have a scheduled meeting with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, as well as other high-ranking officials of the U.S. government.

Minister Saud will also hold discussions with Mike Kerry, Co-Chair of the U.S. Congress Nepal Caucus, as part of the visit.

In the itinerary of the visit, Minister Saud will also participate in the United States Institute of Peace program, interact with the Nepali-American business community, and engage with information technology consultants’ network. He will also participate in non-residential Nepali gatherings and engage with the Nepali-American business community.

The Nepali delegation for the visit includes the Nepali Ambassador to the United States, Shreedhar Khatri, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepali Embassy in Washington D.C.

Foreign Minister Saud is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on October November 5.”
