Kathmandu July 23 : A meeting has taken place between a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), Yuan Jiajuan, and officials from the Maoist Center during their visit to Nepal.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 PM today at Hotel Dwarika, as informed by the office of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
It has been reported that the Chinese delegation had discussions with Deputy Prime Ministers, Home Ministers, and Narayan Kaji Shrestha, along with vice-chairs and parties office bearers.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation, development, and diplomatic etiquette. There will also be discussions about Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s upcoming visit to China.
Yuan is a senior leader of the CPC, and he will be staying in Kathmandu for three days. During his stay, he is expected to hold meetings with other major party leaders as well.
