Obstruction by the opposition, the NA meeting adjourned for the third consecutive day

Kathmandu, July 7: The meeting of the National Assembly has been postponed for the third day today following the suspension of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) .

The UML had obstructed the meeting on Friday, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ from his position, claiming that he had lost his moral authority due to his expression in favor of his own resignation.

During the meeting, Member of Parliament Bimala Ghimire expressed her dissatisfaction with the Prime Minister’s frequent statement of visits to Delhi to establish himself as the Prime Minister in Preetam Singh’s book release program so on.

She demanded the immediate resignation of the Prime Minister, stating that he had lost the right to sit in the Prime Minister’s chair. Following the suspension of the UML, the meeting scheduled for July 24 at 11:31 AM has also been postponed by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Timilsina. The meetings on Wednesday and Thursday were also postponed due to the UML’s obstruction.
