Govt. reduces lunch hour to 30 minutes

 Kathmandu, Sept.9: The government has set a 30-minute lunch time for government offices.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli through his social media informed that the one-hour lunch break has been reduced to 30 minutes after receiving the complaint that the service is usually impeded during lunchtime. 

The PM said, “It is important that employees take their lunch, but work should not come to a standstill because of it. Most government offices have an hour lunchtime, which has now been reduced to half an hour. Earlier lunch break was from 1 PM to 2 PM which now has been reduced to 1:30 PM to 2 PM each day.” 

Additionally, the Prime Minister has encouraged citizens to report any violations of the new lunch break policy through the ‘Hello Sarkar’ platform if government employees fail to adhere to the new schedule.
