Khotang, Aug. 2: A suspension bridge over the Sunkoshi River was brought into operation. The bridge connecting Baitar of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality in Khotang district and Sorungchhabise of Katari Municipality in Udayapur district has eased the normal life of the people from the two districts.    

The bridge was constructed with the investment of Rs 35 million received from the Koshi Province Government, according to the Infrastructure Development Office, Ghaighat.    

With the construction of the suspension bridge, the people from Baitar, Baluyi, Dikuwa, Targaun and other settlements in the adjoining area will not have to cross the river in boats.    
Likewise, road networks have also been constructed on both ends of the bridge. (RSS)
