PM Prachanda meets Jaishankar

Kathmandu, June 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ met the newly appointed External Affairs minister of India, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Monday. 

PM Prachand and S. Jaishankar discussed on bilateral interests, cooperation, and implementation of the past agreements and understandings of the two countries.  

In the meeting, PM Prachanda congratulated Jaishankar for his appointment as an External Affairs Minister of India and wished for a successful tenure. He expressed that the relationship between the two countries and people will further strengthen in the future. 

Similarly, Jaishankar has expressed his gratitude to PM Prachanda and the Nepal government for attending the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

He said that the Indian government is seriously moving forward to implement the agreement and understanding of the two countries and has noticed complacent progress thus far. 

In the meeting, the PM’s daughter Ganga Dahal, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal and the high-ranking officials of the government of both countries were present.
