PM Prachanda paid courtesy call on Indian President Murmu

Kathmandu, June 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has paid a courtesy call on the President of India Droupadi Murmu during his official visit to India.  

PM Prachanda met President Murmu in the official residence of the President of India at the western end of Rajpath, Raisina Hill in New Delhi, on Monday.

 The matters relating to centuries-old relations existing between Nepal and India and mutual interests were discussed.  Similarly, the two exchanged views on strengthening the people-to-people relations between the two neighbors, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. 

PM Prachanda participated in the swear-in ceremony of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Both the counterparts held the meeting following the swearing-in ceremony. 

Congratulating Prime Minister Modi on his historic victory for the third term PM Prachanda expressed belief that the relationship of both the countries will reach to new heights. 

PM Prachanda participated in the supper hosted by the Indian President on Sunday evening. The PM will return to Nepal on Monday evening. 

The Prime Minister is accompanied by his daughter and private secretary Ganga Dahal, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other senior government officials during the visit. He is scheduled to return home today.
