Kathmandu, June 6: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Shakti Bahadur Basnet has said that 1,000 megawatts more of electricity will be added from solar in the next two years.
Answering a question raised by parliamentarians on the agreement relayed to the establishment of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) during a special session of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, Minister Basnet said that 1,000 megawatts more of electricity will be added from solar in the next two years
He said that the agreement is in the interest of the nation and he will continue to work in the interest of the nation.
He said, “We will add 1, 000 megawatts more of electricity from solar in the next two years. This is not against the interest of the nation. It will be implemented with caution and for national interest.”
The International Solar Alliance (ISA) agreement has been passed by the meeting of HoR.
