One dead, eight injured in Darchula jeep accident

Darchula,  June 5: A person was killed and eight others sustained injury in a road mishap near Budar this morning. 

A jeep with the registration number (01001Ja1489)  heading towards Dhangadhi from Lekam Rural Municipality, Darchula,  met with an accident near Budar. 

The identity of the person who lost their life on the spot is yet to be ascertained. Eight people including the jeep driver received injuries in the accident. 

According to Sub-Inspector of Police of Area Police Office Dhananjaya Kumar Malla, the injured have been identified as 19-year-old jeep driver Bashudev Nath from Dilasaini Rural Municipality-5, a 45-year-old Jagat Dhami from Lekam Rural Municipality-6, Darchula, 31-year-old Harish Parki from Lekam-4, his wife Bhawana Oda Parki and their daughter three-year-old Ritika Parki.  

Likewise, 17-year-old Arjun Luhar, 22-year-old Rekha Oda from Dilasaini Rural Municipality-6, and 60-year-old Manmatu Dhami from Malikarjun Rural Municipality-4. 

It is said that four of the eight injured are seriously injured while the rest four are stable. The injured were rescued at 5 AM and sent to Nisarga Hospital, Dhangadhi.
