One killed, seven injured in Gulmi jeep accident

Tamghas,  June 3: A person was killed and seven others sustained an injury when a jeep met with an accident at Gulmi. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Gulmi, Shankar Pokharel, the deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Kamala Budhathoki from Bharse, Satyawati Rural Muniicplaity-8, Gulmi. There were a total of eight passengers in the jeep. 

A bolero jeep with a registration number (Ga 2 Cha 3262) which was heading towards Chandrakot from Purtighat on an inner dirt road located at Owalang, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-4, on Monday morning went out of control. It veered off some 400 meters down the road causing an accident. 

According to the Police, the injured have been recognized as 29-year-old Keshab Rana, 37-year-old Rita CHhantal, Irisha  Chhantal, aged four, 26-year-old Ajay Nepali, 75-year-old Tek Bahadur Kala, 46-year-old Durpati Baral, and 23-year-old Mekh Baral. 

A five-member team under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Insperctor of Police Ghanshyam Rimal has been mobilized to investigate and rescue the injured from the accident.
