Cabinet passes 16th fifth year plan

Kathmandu, May 14: The cabinet meeting has passed the 16th fifth-year plan.  

The meeting of the council of ministers held on Singha Durbar on Tuesday decided to pass the 16th fifth-year plan. 

Spokesperson of the government, also Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma in a press meet after the meeting said that the government has passed the 16th fifth year following discussion at various phases. 

She said that President Ramchandra Paudel will present it in front of the federal parliament assembly. Similarly, the plans and policies for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/81 has been passed as well.

Minister Sharma said, “The President has called to present the plans and policies at the joint meetings of federal parliament. The discussion was held following that and the meeting of the council of ministers has passed plans and policies for the upcoming fiscal year as well.” 

The 16th five-year plan, which was prepared by the National Planning Commission, was discussed at various stages, and it was decided to pass the 16th plan as well.

President Paudel will present the plans and policies of the upcoming fiscal year in the joint sitting of the federal parliament at 3 PM on Tuesday.
