Construction of Bailey bridge along Bheri corridor in final stage

Surkhet, April 19: Installation of a Bailey bridge at Tallu over the Bheri River along the Bheri corridor has reached the final stage.

Project Chief Sunil Ranjitkar told RSS that all plates of the Bailey bridge have been fixed and the remaining base plates would be installed from Saturday. The bridge is considered a lifeline for the districts of Dolpa, Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim in Karnali Province.  

According to Ranjitkar, they have planned to complete the entire work of the bridge within a week. The government has allocated Rs 38.1 million for the construction of the Bailey Bridge at Tallu which connects the Dolpa, Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim districts.  

The bridge is a crucial road infrastructure as it establishes a road link between Nepal, India and China. (RSS)
