Kathmandu, April 19: Three people were killed and 35 were injured when a bus carrying wedding attendants met with an accident at Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality -5, Sindhupalchok, at 6: 15 AM on Friday. 

According to Ward chair-5 Yadav Shrestha, a bus with a registration number (Ba 4 Kha 5616) that was carrying wedding guests from Susta of Dolakha to Mulabari of Sindhupalchok, skidded off some 200 meters down the road into the cliff causing a fatal accident.  

He said that three of the total injured were severely injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at the local health post, and Khadi Chaur of Sindhupalchok.

There were a total of 55 passengers on the bus.
