Kathmandu, Mar 17: With the installation of Chir at Basantapur on Sunday, the Holi festival has formally started.
A wooden pole ‘Chir’ was erected at the Hanumandhoka Palace premises at 7:47 AM this morning.
Holi, the festival of colour, is being celebrated in the Hilly and Terai regions on March 24 and 25 respectively.
