Urlabari, Mar 1: The number of people who lost their lives when a passenger carrying a jeep and a tipper collided in the Belbari road section of Morang along the East-West highway on Friday morning has reached three. 

A jeep with a registration number (Me 1 Ja 2856) heading towards East from Belbari was hit by a tipper with a registration number ( 001 Kha 9676) heading to West from East causing a fatal accident. Three others sustained injuries in the accident. 

Police Inspector Tej Bahadur Dahal, Area Police Office, Belbari said that The deceased have been identified as 52-year-old Yadukatna Bhattarai of Kamal Rural municipality-2, 44-year-old Deepa Khanal and 36-year-old Krishna Gajurel.  The critically injured Hari Khanal and Gayatri Bhattarai are receiving treatment at Biratnagar-based Neuro hospital.

Chatra Kumar Maskey, the bus driver said that the same tipper had also hit the bus he was driving with the registration number ( 001 Kha 2718) that was heading towards Kathmandu.

The Police have taken the tipper driver Chandra Bahadur BK of Sundarharaincha Municpality-7 under control and necessary investigation is underway.
