Operation of Biratnagar-Lukla mountain flight soon: CM Karki

Salleri (Solukhumbu), Feb 29: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, has said mountain flight would be operated from Biratnagar.     

Talking to RSS today, Chief Minister Karki shared that the Biratnagar-Lukla mountain flight would be operated making the Sagarmatha region its base.     

He mentioned a plan to begin mountain flights from Biratnagar would be implemented soon for further promoting tourism keeping the Mt Everest region in priority.     

“Although the Khumbu area is close to the federal capital, it is alienated from the province. We are serious about resolving it. We are making preparation to operate mountain flights from Biratnagar within a few months,” stressed CM Karki.     

A team comprising CM Karki would reach the Sagarmatha region to observe ‘Sagarmatha Day’ on May 29 for the tourism development of Khumbu.     

The province government was always ready to promote the Sagarmatha region, he underlined. (RSS)
