Tanzania sets 116-run target for Nepal in T20 Series

Kathmandu, Nov 15: Tanzania posted a 116-run target for Nepal in a match under the women’s four-nation T20 Series underway in Hong Kong. The match is held in the Hong Kong Cricket Club. Elected into bat after winning the toss, Tanzania made 115 runs in allotted 20 overs at the loss of seven wickets. For Tanzania, Hudda Omary hit 25 runs, Aisha Mohamed 21, Saum Mtae 16, captain Fatuma Kibasu 11 and Monica Pascal 10. For Nepal, Sangita Rai took two wickets while Rubina Chhetri, Puja Mahato and captain Indu Barma one each. While batting, Nepal made 19 runs against Tanzania in six overs losing five wickets. The Nepali cricket squad for the match are captain Barma and other players, Bindu Rawal, Chhetri, Sita Ranamagar, Asmina Karmacharya, Kajol Shrestha, Kanchan Shrestha, Khusi Dangol, Sangita Rai, Soni Pakhrin, Somu Bista, Puja Mahato Roma Thapa and Samjhana Khadka. Coach for the national women cricket team is Manoj Katuwal. Nepal will play its second match against Hong Kong on November 16, and the final game of the group stage against Japan on November 18.
