10 Nepali students killed in Israel, while pursuing practical courses (List)

Kathmandu : In Israel, 10 Nepali students who had gone for practical studies lost their lives in the Hamas attack that occurred on Saturday morning. The first secretary of the Nepalese embassy in Israel, Arjun Ghimire, informed NepalPage that up to now, 10 Nepali students have lost their lives in the attack.

The students who had gone for practical studies from Far West University were caught up in the attack. Among 17 students residing in Kibbutz Alumim, 10 of them lost their lives.

Among the students who survived the attack, 2 are safe, while 4 others are undergoing treatment, and one is missing.

The deceased students include Narayan Prasad Nyupane from Kailali, Ganesh Kumar Nepali from Jayaprithvi-6, Ashish Chaudhary from Bajhang, Dipesh Raj Bisht from Darchula, Anand Sah from Dhanusha, Rajesh Kumar Swarnakar from Sunsari, Rajan Phulara from Doti, Lokendra Singh Dhami from Darchula, Pramod Keshi from Salyan-Triveni-1, and Veerendra Chaudhary from Kailali-Bhajani Trishakti-4.

Chandra Sejuwal from Salyan-Sharda-2, Pravin Dangi from Dang-Dangisharan-3, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary from Kailali-Tikapur-9, and Himachal Kattel from Gorakha-Gorakha-8 are being treated in the hospital, as informed by the embassy.

Vipin Joshi from Kanchanpur-Bhimadatt-3 has been reported to be in critical condition.

The students who had arrived in the Seadot Neghev region for 11 months of the “Earn and Learn Program” on August 18 and 19 for practical education are eighth-semester students of the Agriculture Department of Far West University.

The situation there has become tense due to the ongoing conflict between the Palestinian militant group Hamas and the Israeli army.
