Kathmandu: A team, including the Chief Executive Officer of the American Aid project (MCC), Alice Albrecht, has arrived in Kathmandu. On Sunday evening, they landed at Tribhuvan International Airport. The team, led by Albrecht, was welcomed by the Country Director of MCC in Nepal, Den Francis, and Assistant Director Sanjay Poudel.
The team arrived in Kathmandu on Qatar Airways flight number QR 646 from Doha.
The team includes Ayaz House, Deputy CEO for Public Affairs at MCC, Jonathan Brooks, Assistant Deputy CEO for Europe, Latin America, and Asia, Special Advisor at the CEO’s Office, Sirra Rotharmik, and Monica Chabje, Director of Compact Operations.
Following the approval, with significant announcements, of an American aid project worth around $500 million by the parliament, the American team has arrived to initiate the implementation.
