In the 68 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have adhered to the five principles of peaceful coexistence, and set a model of equal treatment and win-win cooperation between large and small countries.u

China and Nepal are mutual partners and opportunities on the road to national development and prosperity. China attaches great importance to China-Nepal relations and is willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies with Nepal to promote new progress in China-Nepal relations.

The two sides should focus on promoting infrastructure interconnection, expanding transit transportation cooperation, and helping Nepal transform from a “land-locked country” to a “land-land-link country” as soon as possible. China encourages Chinese enterprises to invest in Nepal and promote Nepal’s exports to China. It is willing to strengthen the exchange of governance experience with Nepal and provide help to the best of its ability for Nepal’s economic and social development. Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China has made remarkable development achievements, and will certainly make greater achievements on the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Nepal is a friend and partner who understands, relies on and supports each other.

Prachanda stress that Nepal sincerely thanks China for its selfless help in economic construction, poverty alleviation and anti-epidemic. Nepal firmly adheres to the one-China policy. ‘Taiwan and Tibet are both inseparable parts of China’s territory. ‘ Nepal will not allow any force to use Nepal’s territory to engage in undermining China’s sovereignty and security. This position is unwavering and unshakable. Nepal highly appreciates and will actively participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and promote the construction of a cross-Himalayan multi -dimensional interconnection network, which is believed to greatly contribute to the economic development of Nepal. Nepal supports a series of important conceptual initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping, and is willing to work with China to promote the development of the international order in a more just and reasonable direction, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
