Delhi-Mumbai flight: Professor Arrested on Allegations of Sexual Harassment

New Delhi, (Agency): A 47-year-old professor was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman doctor on a Delhi-Mumbai flight.

The incident took place after the flight took off from Delhi when the alleged accused and victim were seated next to each other, reported PTI quoting police.
“In her complaint, the woman doctor said that the accused touched her inappropriately sometime before the flight was about to land at the Mumbai airport,” said the official.


Police official said that based on the complaint filed by the victim, a case of sexual harassment was registered against the professor and he was arrested.
officials later, he was produced in a court, which granted him bail.

According to Indian media, Rohit Srivastava has been accused of molesting a female passenger during the flight.

The accused is a professor, and the woman is said to be a 24-year-old doctor, as reported by the media. The incident took place on an IndiGo Airlines flight on July 26.
