Kathmandu July 14 : US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu have been met with Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) KP Sharma Oli , Lu is visiting Nepal for South and Central Asian affairs, expressed gratitude for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project implementation agreement during their meeting.

During a courtesy call at the UML headquarters in Lalitpur, Assistant Secretary Lub informed Chairman Oli about the progress of the project implementation.

“Lu came for a courtesy visit. He expressed gratitude for our cooperation in the implementation of the MCC project,” said Rajan Bhattarai, Head of the Foreign Department of the UML. “We also expressed our gratitude from our side.”

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary-General Bishnu Rimal, Head of the Foreign Department Bhattarai, and Secretary Dr.Anjan Shakya from the UML were also present.

Previously, US Assistant Secretary of State Lu had met with Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Narayan Prasad Saud during his visit to Nepal. Lu visited Nepal for one day in their morning.
