Prime Minister Prachanda’s wife, Sita Dahal, has passed away

Kathmandu July 12 : Prime Minister Puspa kaman Dahal Prachanda’s wife, Sita Dahal, has passed away. She breathed her last on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali. She was 69 years old.

Sita had been suffering from a complex health condition resembling Parkinson’s disease for a long time. Due to her deteriorating health, she was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning.

According to Prime Minister Dahal’s personal physician, Professor Dr. Yuvraj Sharma, Sita Dahal suffered a heart attack at 8 am on Wednesday and was immediately taken to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, she passed away at 8:33 am, as informed by Dr. Sharma.

Previously, she had received treatment in the United States, Mumbai (India), and Singapore, but her condition did not improve.

Sita Dahal was an advisor to the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center). According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, her mortal remains will be kept at the party’s central office in ParisDanda, Koteshwor, from 11 am to 1 pm for condolence. The final rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat at 2 pm, as informed by the Secretariat.
