Manang Air helicopter accident in Lamajura, Solukhumbu, All 5 passenger from Mexico

Kathmandu, July 11 : An accident has occurred in Lamajura, Solukhumbu involving a helicopter from Manang Air that was flying from Lukla. The initial information about the helicopter accident in Lamajura, which falls under the jurisdiction of Solududhkunda Municipality and Likhu-Pike Rural Municipality, has been reported by the Chief of Province Police Rajesh Nath Bantawa.

According to him, the incident is being managed by the police. The helicopter had a captain and 5 passengers on board.

On Tuesday, it has been reported that five Mexican citizens were found aboard a helicopter belonging to Manang Air, which had taken off from Lamajura in Solukhumbu and lost contact after 12 minutes of flight.

Kuber Kadayat, the spokesperson for the Central Police, confirmed the information regarding the Mexican nationals aboard the helicopter.

The helicopter took off from Surkhet towards Kathmandu at 10 am and lost contact shortly after 12 minutes. The helicopter had maintained contact until Dudhkunda Municipality-2 in Lamajura.

After receiving news of the incident near Lamajura, a team of police has been deployed in that direction.

According to Rajesh Nath Banskota, the Inspector General of the Koshi Province Police, based on local information, a team led by the Bani Police Post has been sent in that direction
