Kathmandu, July 5 : Opposition parties in parliament have expressed their anger by demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, citing the remarks he made publicly two days ago.

During a meeting, the main opposition party, UML objected to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s statement and obstructed the program.

On Monday, during a book release event, the Prime Minister reportedly made remarks suggesting that he had gone to Delhi multiple times to become the Prime Minister. The statement, which is considered detrimental to national interests, has drawn criticism from the Communist Party of Nepal(UML)

The meeting started with UML MP Raghujee Pant demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, stating that he is not suitable to hold the position. He also stated that the Prime Minister should either resign or not attend parliament.

The main opposition party’s whip, RSP and RPP MPs, were also absent from the meeting.
