Five more road sections blocked, one-way traffic on thirteen routes

Kathmandu, July 5 : Due to floods and landslides, currently five road sections have been blocked. According to the Department of Roads, as of 6:15 AM today, passenger movement has been halted on five road sections across the country.

The heighter section of the Koshi Highway and the Sankhuwasabha area are blocked for vehicle movement. The Road Department has informed that the road section between Majhitar and Heuwakhola in the Tamor corridor of Panchthar has been blocked.

Similarly, the Naukundi section of the Tanahun-Ridi-Korala Highway, the Manang section of the Dumre-Besisahar-Chame road, have been blocked, as informed by the Road Department.

According to the department, there are thirteen road sections with one-way traffic. The number of blocked roads stands at thirteen, while the Road Department has informed that there are fifty-four roads that have been opened after being blocked.

So far this year, a total of seventy-two road sections have been blocked.
