Kathmandu, July 3 : Foreign Minister NP Saud informed that Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to China is scheduled for September. Minister of Foreign Affairs NP Saud informed that Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to China, Press Union’s district conference in Kailali, today.
Minister Saud stated that Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to China would further strengthen the relationship between the two neighboring countries.
The Prime Minister’s visit to China will be beneficial for Nepal, not only economically but also as a global power. He said, “The visit scheduled for September is significant and meaningful. Nepal remains non-aligned in foreign policy and places the nation’s interests at the center. We are neutral in military alliances.”
He mentioned that Nepal maintains balanced relations with both large neighboring countries and is ready to work for the nation’s interests. “We have about two-thirds of our trade with India. We have social and cultural relations. When rivers reach the sea, they pass through India. We have close relations with India. For transportation, trade with the third country should also come through the Indian Ocean. So, it is necessary to maintain relations with India as well,” he said. He also mentioned that China, as a global power in Northern Asia, can be utilized positively.
“China is not just an economic power, but also a global power. If we can make positive use of China’s development trajectory, it can yield benefits for Nepal as well as our economic system dependent on both China and India,” he added.
