The first-ever international flight will take off today in Pokhara Airport

Pokhara, june 21 : The first international flight is scheduled to take off from Pokhara International Airport today (Wednesday). The flight will be operated by Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu-Tianfu International Airport, China, directly to Pokhara through a charter service.

According to Vishnu Adhikari, the information officer of the airport, the Sichuan Airlines’ Airbus A319 aircraft will land at Pokhara International Airport at 9:30 AM. “All preparations for the flight have been completed, and a brief program has been organized to welcome the passengers,” he said.

A program has been arranged to welcome the passengers who will be arriving in Pokhara from the first international flight, including Sudhan Kiranati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. The Nepali delegation, including Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, the Chairman of the National Assembly, who is currently on a visit to China, and Chinese players and tourists participating in the “Nepal-China Friendship Dragon Boat Festival,” which is scheduled to be held at Fewa Lake in Pokhara on Friday and Saturday, will also be traveling on the same flight.

According to the information officer of the airport, a total of 135 passengers will be boarding the flight to Pokhara. The same aircraft will return to Chengdu on Wednesday itself through regular flights. The airport has also informed about another flight of the aircraft to Pokhara. After crossing the English New Year on December 17 last year, Pokhara International Airport had started its operation. Currently, only domestic flights are being operated from the airport.
