June 18 Kathmandu : In Sankhuwasabha, due to the flood that occurred on Saturday night in the Hewa Khola, one person has died. In the situation caused by the flood, the district police office has informed that the body of a person was found in Ward No. 5 of the Panchakhapan Municipality.

Among the affected by the flood, 18 people were missing. Among them, 2 people have been in contact with the police, while 16 people are still missing. The identification of the recovered body is yet to be determined. After the flood destroyed the bridge in Chainpur Municipality-4 and Panchakhapan Municipality-9, the flood occurred.

According to DSP Birendra Godar of the district police office, the flood caused damage to the under-construction Super Heward Hydro Power Project in Chainpur-4. He mentioned that 16 workers involved in the hydroelectric project were missing. After the flood in the river, he stated that they are unsure whether they have gone elsewhere or have been affected by the flood.

The flood also washed away the motorable bridge that connected Panchakhapan and Chainpur. The district police office informed that houses along the riverbank in Ward No. 4 were also washed away.
