,Kathmandu, Jan. 10: The technical problem encountered in the verification process under the issuance of e-passport has been resolved.

The service was halted after a technical problem was noticed during the verification after entering the data of the customer related to the e-passport  on Tuesday last week.

Under the direction of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, a technical team of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers mobilised technicians of the Information Technology Section to inspect the department and analyse the technical problems on Wednesday but in vain.

In order to identify the problem, IDEMIA, a multinational technology company headquartered in France, which took charge of technical management, sent three technicians to Nepal.

After the technicians solved the problem in the verification process, the service resumed, according to Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday.
